On The Green
What scoring formats are supported?
Fixed number of ends (e.g. 18 or 21), first to a target score (e.g. first to 21), points-based scoring, and sets play. Singles, pairs, triples and fours are all supported.
How are burnt ends handled?
The marker chooses Count, where the end is recorded as played but no score is added, or Replay, where the end doesn’t count until it’s been replayed. WEBA Score then finishes the game correctly either way.
Can we use handicaps?
Yes. Set the handicap when you create the match, and it’s applied to the starting score automatically. It’s shown on the emailed scorecard too.
Can one marker score several rinks?
Yes. In Marker mode one person can move between rinks, choosing the rink and scoring it, on the phone or from a smartwatch.
What if we lose signal on the green?
Scores entered during a brief signal drop are kept on the device and sent automatically when the connection returns.
Watching and Results
How can people follow a match?
Spectators use the club code and a spectator PIN, which shows the live score but can’t change it. Clubs can also put several live games on a TV with a Display Board and its board code.
Who receives the scorecard?
When a match finishes, a PDF scorecard with end-by-end and rink-by-rink scores is emailed automatically to the club secretary.
Can we run leagues and tournaments?
Yes. Tournaments with groups, round robins and knockout brackets are included with Subscription. Season-long leagues with fixtures, live tables and multi-club associations are part of Plus.
